As a performance, Caravan of Desires is aimed at audiences of around 750 - 1000 people. The increased height - around 1.5m - given by the raising of the structure allows an audience of this size to view the piece satisfactorily. The caravan rises by means of a hydraulic system and one wall opens by a motor and steel cable system to reveal the main performance space.

Prior to each performance, the Caravan "parades", from where it has been installed to where the performance takes place (which can be a circular route).
It is driven by remote control.

We offer two performances per day, plus unlimited time as an installation. The Caravan is towed to the location and requires 1 hour preparation time before starting as either performance or in installation mode. It takes approximately 30 minutes to turn the caravan as installation into performance mode and 45 minutes to return the caravan from performance to installation mode. The performance lasts approximately 25-30 mins.

The caravan has an integrated PA system. During the performance, all power to the caravan is supplied by an inbuilt battery and inverter system. While the Caravan is in installation mode, a 13A power supply is required.

Although the performance is primarily intended as a daytime show, it is also possible to programme it after dark with the addition of lighting equipment.
