Before, after and in between performances, Caravan of Desires is also an installation work. Video, sound, images and mechanical automata are used to allow another element of exploration and discovery for the audience.

This gives an extra dimension to the work, creating anticipation before and further drama after the performance. Installation features act as enticing vignettes for the audience and allow artists to play further with some of the themes of the performance. Some of the features can be viewed and experienced from further away, while others are set in letter boxes, keyholes and unexpected places around the caravan as peep-holes into miniature worlds.
